Awarded State Historic & Low Income Housing Tax Credits to rebuild after Joplin tornado, Energy Efficient
Miller-O’Reilly in partnership with Economic Security Corporation developed the Forest Park Apartments community. The project consists of 8 separate four-plex buildings with a mix of single story and townhome style two bedroom units. Twelve of the units have attached garages and the balance offer covered carports. All buildings are constructed of wood with hardboard permanent siding. All 32 units include modern appliances, floor finishes, and efficient climate control systems. The exteriors are fully landscaped with concrete driveways and sidewalks. The energy-efficient design meets the standards of the green scoring tool for National Green Building Standard. This MHDC project was 100% leased upon completion.
